We would like to explain a bit about production costs and the Purple Pear Farm model. Our model of food production connects the farmer directly with the people who eat the food they grow.
CSA's or Farm Food production enterprises incur most of their costs before the season even begins. Farm Food Box Members purchase a share in the harvest, including a share in the ups and downs of the season. We will endeavour to grow a wide range of popular seasonal crops.
What you recieve will depend on what grows well each week and over the course of the growing season. If there is a really difficult growing season, some crops may not be plentiful or shares maybe smaller than anticipated. But, in the good times, there are likely to be bounses.
We thank you for sharing the journey with us.
Our Farm Food Box delivery is currently at capacity.
If you would like to go on the waiting list, please email us.
We are working towards a larger production and will post updates here when we get there.
