A small scale Biodynamic Permaculture farm – using sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices.
Run by Mark Brown and Kate Beveridge, Purple Pear Farm, Education Centre and Biodynamic farm offers learning opportunities based on 20+ years of experience in teaching, farming, sustainability, permaculture, biodynamics and community building.
Today, Purple Pear Farm is a flourishing, productive farm and education centre with mandala gardens, forest foods and established permaculture, along with biodynamic and organic farming practices.
There are several individual, farm based enterprises offering services and activities. Select “LEARN MORE” under the enterprise below.
Purple Pear Harvest offers a traditional CSA membership, for which you pay up-front each season for the best value, as well as an alternative week-to-week subscription option and the flexible option to buy individual boxes without the locked-in commitment.
We aim to foster a nurturing environment that equips children and adults alike with the tools and resources necessary to critically think. Our aim is to build self awareness, self reliance and self-responsibility within a natural learning environment.
Acacia Play provides a safe and nurturing space for children and their carers to come together to play, learn, and grow with a close connection to the outdoors and nature. The sessions held at Purple Pear Farm provide the children with the opportunity to interact with farm animals whilst being provided with a beautiful space for imaginative free play and time to explore and create.
Our goal is to show how permaculture, biodynamics and organic principles work equally well on apartment balconies, in backyards and on farms such as this.
The farm is a working farm with facilities to cater for groups in a hands-on and supported learning environment.
Our passion is for supplying nutritious food grown using Organic/Biodymanic sustainable and regenerative land practices.
We look forward to welcoming you on the farm soon.
